Loose Leaf, Tim McNary’s third record, touches on themes of human connection and isolation. “When people listen to this next album,” says Tim, “one of the main things I hope they take away is maybe they feel less alone, they feel more connected to the human experience.” The album was engineered and produced by Jon Estes (John Paul White, Abigail Washburn, Peter Bradley Adams, Langhorne Slim), who also plays many of the supporting instruments on the record. The album’s orchestral tendencies reflect the hundreds of hours Tim spent in pre-production. The clarity of voice and evocative nature of loose leaf has raised comparisons to Gregory Alan Isakov, Glen Hansard, and Lord Huron.

Tim, fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, draws on a range of international influences. “This is the first album that shows signs of Brazilian influence,” says Tim, who has lived in Salvador, Bahia and other parts of Latin America. loose leaf was released through Audionetwork on Friday, October 22, 2021.
